Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I currently accept ?????Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, Avmed and Concordia Behavioral Health????????

I am also an out of network provider. Many insurance companies will cover services provided by out-of-network providers. I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you do not have insurance, please reach out to inquire about out-of-pocket rates. I offer a sliding scale (reduced rate) to some individuals based on financial need.

Do you offer telehealth?

I offer online therapy services via a HIPPA compliant telehealth system that is easy to use. You can access the system from a computer or your smartphone by simply clicking a link I send you. Telehealth has many advantages and clients are able to conveniently attend therapy from the comfort of their own home. Virtual therapy can be easier to fit into your busy schedule, involves no commute or travel time and minimizes costs. It is also a great option for people with mobility limitations, those in rural areas, or individuals living far from their therapy provider.

How often will I need therapy?

Typically, most clients benefit from one 50-minute session per week. However, some clients see me every two or every three weeks. The frequency of therapy depends on your individual needs. The decision regarding what is most beneficial for you is made collaboratively with me.

What can I expect for my first therapy session?

The first session will focus on exploring what led you to seek therapy and what your goals are, to determine the focus of treatment. This session will also be used to learn more about you and to clarify any questions you may have.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?

I request that you notify me at least 24 hours in advance if you are not able to attend a scheduled therapy session. I charge the full session fee if you fail to give me notice within this time frame.

What are my payment options?

I currently accept Zelle and debit or credit card payments.
